Eric Peterson, the Veteran

Eric joined the U.S. Army as tensions were rising in the Middle East in late 1990. After doing very well on entry tests for the military, the Army offered Eric a job as a Russian Interrogator.

After spending his 34th birthday in basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Eric went on to study the Russian language at the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey, CA.  He graduated in 1992.

Following the language school, Eric went on to study interrogation at the intelligence school at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.

Eric spent the remainder of his enlistment with the 66th MI Company in the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, being honorably discharged with the rank of SGT (E5).

A side note...  during his younger years, Eric never thought about entering the military.  Now Eric looks back at his military experience as one of the proudest periods of his life.
