ECRL to Launch New System

All East Central Regional Library branches and link sites will be closed the week of Monday, May 17 thru Sunday, May 23 to prepare for the launching of a new online library system.  Outreach services will also not be available that week. When the new system is launched, library users will find streamlined searching for library items, the ability to select specific formats (book, dvds, books on CD, etc.), plus a simplified method for placing items on hold.

The new system is a partnership with PALS, a program of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.  PALS provides automated library services to libraries in all state colleges and universities, along with other college, state government, special, public, and school libraries throughout Minnesota.  ECRL libraries will be using Evergreen, the next-generation system being implemented by PALS.

When branches re-open, library staff will be ready to demonstrate the Evergreen system and answer your questions.  Please do not hesitate to ask.  All East Central Regional Library branches and outreach services will resume regular open hours and routes the week of Monday, May 24.
